Stay shotgun until the day I die.

"Won't you stay shotgun until the day I die?
Stay shotgun until the day I die."

Like most songs on Walk The Moon's self-titled album, this song is about the connection between two people. The song "Next In Line" to me is about the feeling of being together. We all know that riding "shotgun" is the prized seat in most cars. I think that there is something to be said about the feeling of driving around in the car with someone, especially in the summertime. Driving around with the windows down is one of my favorite summertime memories. I love that sense of freedom and moving forward.

I have a weak spot for Walk The Moon. Their music makes me feel light and powerful. It picks me up when I am having a bad day. My boyfriend and I will send the link to the song "I Can Lift A Car" to one another when we know the other is having a bad day.

I saw Walk The Moon at LouFest, and I will be seeing them perform two more times this year. Next to The Killers, they put on the second best performance at LouFest. I have seen a lot of concerts, but they definitely were one of my favorites. They engaged with the audience, which I really enjoyed. This photo is of Walk The Moon and was taken by a friend of mine at LouFest

Peace and Love. Leah.
